Showing online shops and the stack behind them

eCommerce Lover is my own project. It collects well designed online shops and shows which platform and tools each one uses, and I designed, built and grew it myself.

Why I made it

When I plan a shop, I want to see good examples and know what they run on. Most inspiration sites stop at the screenshot. I wanted the design and the tech side by side, so I made a site for it.

What I built

All of it: design, code and SEO. Each shop gets a page with desktop and mobile shots, a short summary, tags and its platform. Platforms and tools get pages too, each listing the shops that use them, so you can move from a shop to its stack and on to similar shops.

The Reggie shop page on desktop and phone

I capture every screenshot myself with a script. It loads the shop in a headless browser, gets rid of cookie banners and newsletter pop-ups, and saves a desktop and a mobile view. If a shop has closed, it uses the Internet Archive instead, so the design I collected stays in the gallery.

Since launch

I started eCommerce Lover in December 2022 with SvelteKit on Firebase and Vercel. In 2026 I moved it to Cloudflare Workers and D1, and every page now gets its own Open Graph image at build time. I use it to try programmatic SEO before I recommend it to anyone else.
