I'm Simon Halimonov. I help product teams build design systems that designers and developers both use, and I only work remotely.

My story

From Cologne and Düsseldorf to fully remote.

My first digital products were built in Cologne and Düsseldorf in 2014. Today I do all of my work remotely.

I went freelance in 2017. Since then I've worked as a UX/UI engineer and frontend developer on client projects from Switzerland and Germany, and since 2019 also with the team at required gmbh.

My focus is design systems: one set of components and rules, so designers and developers stop translating between two worlds.

Teaching shaped how I work. At the Digital Career Institute in Düsseldorf I teach a year-long fullstack JavaScript course and have spent more than 1,200 hours in the classroom. I explain what I build so your team can keep going without me.

In 2021 I started Systems Loop, my agency for design, development and SEO on subscription. I'm on every one of its projects.

How I work

What you can expect when we work together.

  1. Remote only

    We meet over video. I don't need a desk in your office to be part of your team.

  2. I do the work myself

    You talk to the person who designs the screens and writes the code. Nothing gets lost on the way.

  3. Your team keeps going

    I document and explain as I go, so your designers and developers can carry on after the project.
